Senate Bill 290 (Mastriano) – Amends the Public School Code of 1949 to provide for a moment of silence in schools for the anniversary of September 11, 2001 and require the Department of Education to establish curriculum for instruction on the events and significance of that day.

Senate Bill 353 (Dush) – An Act requiring school entities to display the Preamble of the Pennsylvania Constitution in school buildings.

Senate Bill 456 (Dush) – An Act requiring school entities to display the Preamble of the United States Constitution in school buildings.

Senate Bill 460 (Bartolotta) – Amends the Public School Code of 1949 to establish the Child Reunification Program.

Senate Bill 647 (Gebhard) – Amends the Public School Code of 1949 to require completion of a personal financial literacy course in high school and directs the State Board of Education to revise the State standards for Economics, Family and Consumer Science, and Career Education and Work.
