Senator Argall to Host 4th Annual Senior Expo on July 10 at Schuylkill Mall

FRACKVILLE – Senator David G. Argall (R-29) will be hosting his 4th annual senior citizens expo at the Schuylkill Mall on Wednesday, July 10.

Starting at 10 a.m., Senator Argall’s senior expo will feature 42 exhibitors to provide up-to-date information on programs and services available to Pennsylvania’s older residents.

“The amount of information out there for our older residents can be overwhelming,” Argall said. “My office tries to bring it all under one roof so our region’s senior citizens can ask questions and get answers on the spot.”

This year’s expo features a seminar by the Pennsylvania Department of Treasury on unclaimed property from 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Senator Argall will hold a town hall-style meeting with constituents starting at 11:30 a.m.

Vendors include various health and nursing care facilities; consumer protection agencies, including the Attorney General’s office; Independent Living Services; safety awareness organizations; Schuylkill Transportation System; and other groups that help and assist the region’s senior citizens. The county election bureau will be available to educate voters on the touch screen systems and answer any questions.

Free glaucoma and blood pressure screenings will be available.

The event will take place at Center Court in the Schuylkill Mall, right off of Route 61 and Interstate 81, in Frackville, and will conclude at 1 p.m.
