HARRISBURG — A $600,000 state grant was awarded to Tower City to replace main water supply lines today. Sen. Dave Argall (R-29) and Rep. JoAnne Stehr (R-107) worked with local leaders to secure this highly competitive funding.
“I’m grateful this highly competitive funding will ensure reliable water services for residents of Town City,” Argall said.
“Access to safe, reliable water is essential for every community,” Stehr said. “These grants will modernize our infrastructure, protect public health and ensure our towns continue to thrive.”
This funding was awarded through the Statewide Local Share Account (LSA) program, which distributes gaming revenue to economic development projects. LSA funds are distributed by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, an independent agency which administers the commonwealth’s economic stimulus packages.
