HARRISBURG — Rep. Tim Twardzik (R-123) and Sen. Dave Argall (R-29) are thrilled to announce 46 fire and emergency medical services (EMS) companies have been awarded more than $700,000 in funding through the 2025-26 Pennsylvania Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program.
“Our firefighters and EMS personnel put their lives on the line every day to protect our families, homes and businesses,” Twardzik said. “All of these companies rely heavily on volunteers and local fundraising to keep their doors open. This state funding provides critical support to ensure they have the equipment, training and resources necessary to continue serving our communities.”
“I’m thankful so many local fire and EMS companies were awarded these highly competitive funds,” Argall said. “These grants are well-deserved and will help our brave first responders with their critically important and dangerous jobs.”
Projects eligible for funding include construction or renovation of a fire or ambulance company facility, purchase or repair of equipment, training, recruitment and retention initiatives, public education about fire prevention and reduction of existing debt.
