Roadway Improvement Projects in Kline Township, McAdoo Borough Receive State Grants

HARRISBURG – Projects in Kline Township and McAdoo Borough were awarded state grants through the Multimodal Transportation Fund to restore deteriorated roadways, according to Senator David G. Argall (R-29) and Rep. Jerry Knowles (R-124).

“I’m thankful this highly competitive state funding was awarded to these two deserving municipalities,” said Senator Argall.  “These grants will mark significant improvements for the quality of travel for local residents and will make these roads safer for drivers and pedestrians.”

“These grants will improve important roadways in Kline Township and McAdoo Borough,” said Rep. Knowles. “This is an investment in the local economy and the quality of life for local residents. Local roads enable businesses in our community to ship products and local residents to receive them. These projects make a big difference in our neighborhoods.”

Kline Township was awarded a total of $344,251 to resurface nine deteriorated sections of roadway on Walsh Street, Bruno Avenue, Middle Street, Mountaintop Terrace, Bridge Street, Spring Street, Luceno Boulevard, Silverbrook Road, and Doran Street.

McAdoo Borough was awarded a total of $182,000 to repave South Manning Street, East Jackson Street, South Logan Street, and North Butler Street.
