Argall Urges Further Sanctions Against Russia, Energy Independence

HARRISBURG – In response to the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine by Russia, Senator David G. Argall (R-Berks/Schuylkill) officially introduced Senate Resolution 239 today urging Congress to take further action against the Russian government.  The resolution also calls for Pennsylvania to invest in domestic oil and natural gas to decrease our country’s reliance on foreign energy suppliers.

“Tyrants like Vladimir Putin must not be ignored.  We need to take every action possible to force him to back down from his aggression,” said Argall.

“A critical piece of this is investing in the bountiful sources of energy in our state and across the country, including natural gas production and projects like the Keystone XL pipeline.  We need to do everything we can to provide relief to Pennsylvanians at the gas pump.”
