Senator Argall announces fire, EMS grants for 29th District

POTTSVILLE – Senator David G. Argall (R-Schuylkill/Berks) announced grant awards totaling $1,691,670.45 for local volunteer and emergency medical services organizations throughout the 29th Senatorial District.

Grants may be used for the purchase or repair of firefighting or rescue equipment, construction or renovation costs for facilities, training or debt reduction.

“I’m pleased to see dozens of fire companies and EMS organizations in Berks and Schuylkill Counties receive these much-needed funds,” Argall said.

The program is administered through the Pennsylvania Office of the State Fire Commissioner’s Fire Company, Volunteer Ambulance Service Grant (FCVAS) program. More information is available online at www.osfc.state.pa.us.
