Argall: Designate April 6th as ‘Penn State Day’

HARRISBURG – The Senate today approved Senator David G. Argall’s (R-29) resolution designating April 6, as “Penn State Day.”

“Now in its 156th year of serving Pennsylvania, Penn State has shown over the years its importance to our state,” said Argall. “With over 291,000 alumni currently residing in Pennsylvania, and 70,000 students from our state, it is not only a vital educational resource, but also a driving economic force. Economic studies have shown Penn State’s research department pumped over $2 billion into our state’s economy, while overall the impact is over $8.5 billion to our economy annually. As a graduate from its Master’s and Ph.D. programs, I am proud to say on April 6th, we can all join in and chant, ‘We are…Penn State.'”
