Senator Argall to Host Senior Expo Wednesday, June 2

HARRISBURG – More than 25 exhibitors, including free health screenings, will provide the most current information on programs and services available to Pennsylvania’s older residents at a Senior Expo hosted by Senator Dave Argall (R-29).

The free informational event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2, at the Schuylkill Mall, Routes 61 and 81, Frackville.

Argall said the event provides seniors with a “one-stop resource” for information on a wide range of services and resources available to them – many of which are free of charge or at a reduced cost.

Representatives from state agencies will be on hand to discuss a number of programs including reduced rates for vehicle registrations and property tax and rent rebates.

Other booths will be set up to provide seniors with information on Social Security, health care, consumer protection, and a wide variety of other programs and services that are available to them.

“The senior expo offers senior citizens a chance to learn so much about the services and programs that are available to them,” Argall said. “I urge all area seniors to stop by.”

Additionally, Argall will be holding a “State Issues: Question and Answer Session” at 11 a.m. in front of the Bon-Ton Department store, followed by a presentation at 11:30 a.m. on Electric Consumer Choice provided by the Pennsylvania Office of Consumer Advocate.

For more information on the event, please contact any of Senator Argall’s local offices at 1-877-327-4255.
