Senate Majority Policy to examine the 2020 Census in Pennsylvania

HARRISBURG – At the request of Senator Mike Folmer (Lebanon/Dauphin/York), the Senate Majority Policy Committee will hold a public hearing regarding the 2020 Census in Pennsylvania. This hearing will take place on Monday July 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Hearing Room 1 of the North Office Building in Harrisburg.

“It’s essential every elected official understands both the importance and the things that need to happen with the 2020 Census,” said Senator Folmer.

“The Governor has established his commission which will make recommendations for the most accurate count for the residents of our state,” said Majority Policy Chairman Senator David G. Argall (R-Schuylkill/Berks). “The commission had asked for $12 million to carry out their goals. We need to know what they specifically plan on using taxpayer money for and what oversight is going to be used to ensure funds are not wastefully spent.”
