Argall Announces Grant for Lynn Township, Lehigh County
HARRISBURG – State Senator David G. Argall (R-29) today
announced a state grant that will improve the health and safety of Lehigh County
residents.
According to Argall, an $82,310.57 grant has been awarded to
Lynn Township under the Sewage Facilities Grants Program of Act 537 of 1966.
The grant is administered by the Pennsylvania Department of
Environmental Protection (DEP) and will be used to reimburse 50 percent of the
costs for preparing sewage plans and revisions to official plans for sewage
systems.
"Without financial assistance and partnership from the
Commonwealth, these improvement projects would not be possible," Argall
explained. This funding is critical for helping protect the health and safety of
Lynn Township residents and to open up opportunities for economic growth and job
creation,” Argall added.
